To qualify for a UK nationality one must comply with the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be of sound mind
  • Intend to continue living in the UK
  • Be able to communicate in English, Welsh or Scottish Gaelic to an acceptable degree
  • Have sufficient knowledge of life in the UK
  • Be of good character; and
  • Meet the residential requirements.
